how bout a bloggers meetup so we can meet everyone in the blogosphere or a new design/theme ?

Thanks for 2 years (I am only mths old blogger) of providing the community for us.

How about a nationwide bloggers meet up? I had asked some of the Penang bloggers about this. We can gather at the same time, same date and communicate online.

How about if you change the outlook of PPS, just like what you did to your blog, Aiz? Make it more than just black & white or make it user-friendlier. Then, make a blogging campaign to increase the number of new bloggers. Just giving my suggestions.

Fooo... I've been with PPS exactly 2 years then!!! Started out beta testing... hey, june 23 is a good date for i am on holiday... yay, lets meet up!!!

I'm quite sure someone will come up with an Awards idea. I am also pretty sure that when there are awards to be earned, there will be alot of blog whoring going on.

YES. A meet up would be good. How about having a nice buffet in some nice ballroom where we can rent? I mean there's going to be ALOT of us. (PPS has over 600 links). It'd be fun:) Besides, Coffeebean/Starbucks can't hold us all.

I will buy a PPS t-shirt and PPS can collect some hosting fund from t-shirt selling, too. Don't think I am able to attend any blog gathering outside Johor...

A blog meet would be interesting, but obviously many people will miss out since PPS pingers are located all across the country.

So instead of one blog meet, have several blog-meets all across the country on the same day!

PPS T-shirt a must!!! Must has a good design. Example: Products in Google store. A one and only official PPS logo or custom logo by PPS pinger at each special events such as what they did in Google. Use LiewCF's Blogger forum as the official PPS forum. PPS photo gallery forum. Official Blogger meet. More media coverage to promote PPS like how Mozilla promote Firefox so that more Malaysian can know how to blog. Official yearly blog award voted by PPS pinger or a panel of bloggers. Random member's blog highlight/link as suggested by LiewCF. PPS real time chat room??? IMHO, I think blogger meet is not too suitable but I would like the media coverage can be done. A bit too many suggestions by me. ;)

On a side note, please dont change PPS's minimalistic look. It's nice the way it is, with very little bloat :D

i think changing the theme to faster loading theme is better. i wait like 10 seconds on my dial-up. cutting even a second is good enough for me.

No need to login. Anybody can post.

But if you wanna log in, you'll have to register first at the VOI WIKI (its a separate system from PPS). I could install the WIKI on PPS too, but that would take up valuable disk space which PPS doesn't have too much of. :)

In the future, there may be certain pages that only VOI WIKI members will be able to read/write.

aiz, u can reduce the bandwidth using http compression. It can be done by hacking the code adding ob_start("ob_gzhandler") at the beginning of the (index) script or simply installing mod_gzip for apache... it may take up some cpu power but may be worth some testing ..

the t-shirt idea has my vote.

oh wow! i had been blogging near 2 years too as i had seen the 'birth' of PPS.

if there is a grand bloggers meet in KL on this occasion, i don't mind taking leave and going to KL for the meet.

btw, do you know that there is another day for us bloggers to celebrate - international bloggers day coming up on 9 june!

oh ya forgot to mention some suggestions for the meet up.

how about having it a one day affair? there should be talks by some speakers (obviously on blogging or related), sharing of experiences, and of course fun time (games).

i guess this need a lot of planning - a committee should be formed.

i know many might not be able to make it if it is held in KL but if we want something grand, something on only that one day, we got to choose ONE place, and of course PPS being originating from KL/PJ, the place has to be there.

if we really want to be true to our roots then let's all walk around Petaling Street together with our PPS t-shirts... A PPS Bloggers March Past! Hahaha..
